Mackey Wellwave
Mackey is said to be shrouded in mystery, but he’s not going to fool you.
Masato Inami is a guitarist, vocalist, and composer from Hokkaido, Japan, known for his distinctive melodic sensibility and versatile production style. Beginning guitar at the age of seven, he developed his craft through the bands TENSION and OVER☆CUBE, gaining recognition within the Sapporo music scene and contributing music for PUFFY as well as numerous commercial and media projects.
Inami’s creative path intersects closely with mackeywellwave, with whom he shares a long-standing artistic rapport. Their collaboration is rooted in mutual respect for musical exploration, sound design, and the pursuit of expressive depth. Through this connection, Inami has expanded his creative range, engaging in projects that blend band performance, songwriting, and contemporary production approaches.
Beyond his band work, Inami has composed and arranged music for a wide array of commercials, radio programs, and game titles—including the Nintendo Wii/iPhone AERO series—demonstrating a broad and adaptable musical vocabulary.
Since 2024, he has been an active member of Moretsu Vitamins, where his partnership with mackeywellwave continues to evolve, driving new forms of expression and collaborative creativity.
バンド活動と並行して、2002年のタケダ薬品「アリナミンA」CFソングを皮切りに、マクドナルド、富士通、味の素アミノバイタル、リオネット補聴器など、多数のCM音楽を制作。また、STVラジオの番組音源や、任天堂Wii／iPhoneゲーム「AEROシリーズ」への楽曲提供など、幅広い分野でクリエイティブを発揮してきた。
2016年には「日本のひなた宮崎県」PRソングの作曲・作詞・アレンジを担当。
2024年より Moretsu Vitamins に参加し、アーティスト活動と音楽制作の両面で新たな表現を追求している。
